In 1991, noticing the need for well pump services in the surrounding neighborhoods, William and Amonica Griffith opened up shop and began providing these essential services to homeowners. The company continued to grow as they added services to their roster. In addition to well pump services, the Boonsboro, Maryland-based company now performs servicing of water treatment systems and septic systems, for surrounding counties in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. While William Sr. no longer runs the day to day operations, he still maintains his presence at the company he co-founded, offering his guidance at weekly company overview and manager meetings.
In 2014, the mom and pop business also grew into a full family affair, with William Jr. joining Tri-County Pump Service after the unexpected death of his beloved mother and company matriarch. Tri-County Pumps had always offered general plumbing services as well, but in 2016, under William Jr’s direction, Tri County Pumps added a separate plumbing division, Griffith Plumbing. www.gogriffithplumbing.com
Tri-County Pumps provides all these services for both residential and commercial buildings, including schools, retail stores, retirement homes, wineries and distilleries, and detention centers.
