How did you get started in the industry?
My stepdad was in the field and introduced me to the trade
What challenges did you have to overcome?
I had to overcome anxiety. I wasn’t used to working around so many people.
What do you like most about your job?
Honestly, like everything about it: Coming in early to work. Getting off early. Earning good pay. Learning something new every day. Being able to dress comfortably. And getting to work with my hands.
How has a career in construction impacted your life?
It’s impacted my life tremendously. It allows me to help my family and provide for myself.
What advice do you have for others about the construction industry?Never give up and stay focused. It gets better every day.
