As we drive down highways and byways and through neighborhoods, most of us don’t give a second thought to underground utilities, the sewer lines that keep our roadways, and destinations, from flooding. Fortunately for our commute and comfort, for Diversified Site Works, LLC, an equipment contractor specializing in full site development and storm water management based in Odenton, Maryland, that’s all they think about.
Serving Maryland and the Greater D.C. Metropolitan areas, Diversified Site Works tackles the tough jobs underground, handling small and large-scale water and sewer installations, repairs and maintenance on residential, commercial, industrial and municipal projects. Projects include installing storm drains, sanitary sewers, water mains, infiltration and inflow systems, and pumping stations. Recent projects include utility installation at Margaret’s Glen, Willow Creek, Ft. Detrick, and Sahlen Farm.
Diversified began as a small grading and excavation company in June 1998 by Andrew V. Jones, whose family had worked for four generations in the construction and excavation business. Since then the company has grown to include site development, utility work, and environmental construction work, including water quality retrofits, stream and wetland restoration, bulkhead construction and shoreline stabilization.
As company president, Jones takes pride in his company’s mission and its employees. Diversified’s core competencies are echoed in its community service projects, including participating in and supporting the Watershed Stewards Alliance and the Stream Restoration Association. In addition, Diversified supports its employees through numerous training and professional development programs.
