Vice Chair, House Economic Matters Committee
Since joining the House of Delegates in 2003, Sally Jameson has been on the side of business interests. Jameson has also served on the Economic Matters Committee for as long. As vice chair of the Economic Matters Committee since 2015, Jameson has been accessible to and understanding of ABC and issues related to the merit shop construction industry.
Throughout her time in the House, Jameson has served on numerous work groups dealing with issues of interest to the construction industry, including serving as the House Chair on the Joint Committee on Workers’ Compensation Benefit and Insurance Oversight, and as a member of the Joint Committee on Unemployment Insurance Oversight. Currently she is serving on the Task Force on Rural Internet, Broadband, Wireless, & Cellular Service and the Maryland Military Installation Strategic Planning Council.
Jameson’s business acumen runs deep. She served as the Executive Director of the Charles County Chamber of Commerce from 1998-2007. Before going into politics, she worked in the Jameson family business for several years, providing her with a broad range of knowledge on business issues.
