In his five years in office, Del. Neil Parrott has shown he’s a stalwart conservative, supporting legislation that benefits employers, creates new jobs and cuts down on bureaucracy. He has supported business tax credits and signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge, committing to oppose and vote against any and all efforts to increase taxes.
As a small business owner himself, Parrott has also been a strong advocate of the merit shop construction industry and the basic principles of free and open competition. His commitment to Republican principles earned him the title of Republican Man of the Year in 2012.
In addition to his role as assistant minority whip, Parrott serves on the House Judiciary Committee and as chair of the Washington County Delegation.
