This separate language was advocated by several industry organizations “because the industry has complex characteristics, including high employee turnover, many short-term or temporary jobs, and multiemployer worksites with many small businesses,” according to a report by Gloria Gonzalez in Business Insurance. http://www.businessinsurance.com/article/20160311/NEWS08/160319961/occupational-safety-and-health-administration-to-propose-safety?tags=|70|92|307|308

Construction Unemployment Rate Should Remain Low

The construction unemployment rate dropped to 8.7 percent in February, down from 10.6 percent in February 2015, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. If this downward trend continues, we should see steady drops in unemployment.
