Trade: Sales and Technical Support Manager for HVAC & Plumbing
Why did you get into the trade?
I started out pursuing lay-out and design in high school. I went into the trade making duct work, and then got into plumbing and HVAC within the same company. I got into the trade to make a difference. Over the years, I’ve seen a lot of poor installations and design issues. I’ve worked with a lot of engineers over the years to improve the quality of equipment and the finished product to the customer. I like designing jobs and installing them. Seeing them in place and working is a great feeling.
What do you like most about your job?
I like the challenge of a new day. Every day is something new. We work on large and small systems, HVAC controls, and related plumbing. I’m known around the Baltimore area, so a lot of people call on my service team and me to help them with their HVAC and plumbing issues. I’m blessed with a lot of talent in the company that I work for. We help each other to solve problems for our customers. I’ve been able to maintain customers for more than 25 years in some locations, which is saying something in today’s market.
